About Evesham Fire-Rescue

Evesham Fire-Rescue serves over 49,000 residents in Burlington County, NJ, providing fire and EMS services from three strategically located stations. Our team of 125 career, per-diem, and volunteer personnel ensures 24/7 coverage with fire suppression, rescue, and EMS units. We also manage fire safety inspections, emergency management, and construction code services in partnership with the township. Governed by a five-member Board of Fire Commissioners, we are committed to the safety and well-being of our community.

Meet The Chief

Carl Bittenbender

Chief Carl Bittenbender leads Evesham Fire-Rescue with over 27 years of experience in emergency services. Joining Evesham in 2002, he has advanced through the ranks to become Chief in 2019. With multiple degrees and certifications, he ensures top-quality emergency response and community safety. Chief Bittenbender, a resident of Evesham Township, is also actively involved in local youth sports and community activities.
