Trained & Certified
Certified firefighters and EMTs are invited to join our team, enhancing our response capabilities. No residency requirement for trained professionals from across New Jersey. Members are integrated into our Volunteer Firefighter Stipend Program, which compensates for staffing in-house crews and participation in training and public events. Compensation ranges between $100 and $875 per month, reflecting participation levels. Ready to make a difference?
Untrained Volunteer
Become a Volunteer Firefighter and/or EMT in Evesham without prior training. Our volunteers receive full training at local academies, held during evenings and weekends, free of charge. Firefighter courses cover basic techniques over 125 hours, while EMT certification spans 240 hours of essential medical skills training. All gear is provided. Volunteers also benefit from a stipend program based on their participation. Interested in making a difference?
Untrained Volunteer
Young volunteers can start early with our Junior Firefighter and EMT Auxiliary. Aimed at those aged 14-17, this program introduces youth to the fundamentals of firefighting and emergency medical services, setting a foundation for future certification. Junior members participate in training adapted to their age group and can transition to full members at 18. This involvement is crucial for building teamwork and community service skills.

Per-diem EMTs staff BLS transport units, providing essential pre-hospital care and transportation in emergency situations as part of a combined team of firefighters and EMTs. They serve patients of all ages and conditions, utilizing appropriate techniques to assess, treat, and transport them safely. EMTs are responsible for completing all necessary documentation and fulfilling additional duties that contribute to efficient EMS operations. The role requires a professional demeanor and representation of Evesham Fire District.

Career EMT
Career EMTs operate within BLS transport units, delivering critical 911 pre-hospital care and transportation. They work alongside firefighters in a comprehensive emergency response team, attending to patients from various backgrounds and ensuring safe handling and transport using suitable equipment. Their responsibilities also include documentation, supporting operational efficiency, and upholding the Evesham Fire District’s professional standards. Career Firefighter/EMT
Career Firefighter/EMTs are integral to both firefighting and emergency medical services within BLS transport units. They perform fire suppression, rescue operations, and emergency medical care. Additional duties include public education, training sessions, station maintenance, and conducting fire inspections. Certification in NJ UFC Fire Inspector and NJ Fire Instructor Level 1 is required.
